rubber moulds

Once the rubber has been poured and allowed to cure the clay walls are removed from the gun, head and hand moulds and the halves separated.

These rubber 'block' moulds are cleaned out and any loose plasticine is removed. The halves are washed and put to one side to dry.
The body mould is opened, the cling film is removed and any excess rubber that has seeped through is trimmed back. Take care not to damage your modelling.

The rubber and plaster are sealed with a wax release and the mould jacket (that has had its clay removed and is now clean, drilled and waxed) is replaced and clamped shut. boards are placed both ends and rubber is poured and allowed to cure.
